For Library Patrons
Organizations usually choose to either create custom classes from their content (either in-house or on contract) or to purchase access to an online class from a vendor. In-house development of online classes generally follows two models. Classes can be designed "from scratch" using HTML and scripting languages, or through the use of course authoring tools. If an organization would like to include advanced features such as tracking and assessment with their online learning offerings, they will likely use learning management or course management software.
